Standard of Living
It is important to know about standard of living because it shows what a country is like. For example, if a country has a high population below poverty line, a low standard of doctors per 1000, and overall bad health, wealth, and education then the country is more likely to be a poor environment. Knowing all of these statistics give a general overview of the place.
The ideas about economies and standard of living can be analyzed using the five themes of geography because if a country/or place, has a same overall standard of living then it might be grouped together with a place with similar living conditions to form a region.
